Who we are:

Al Fellerman began his insurance career with Farmers Insurance Group in 1967.

Al joined the Osman Temple Shriners in 1973 and has been a clown ever since.
The Osman Temple Shrine insured the clowns for their performances until 1988.
At that time they asked that the clowns provide their own clown insurance or entertainer insurance coverage.

Al, wanting to help out his clown friends, purchased a general liability group policy in 1988 that would cover their performances. Al was able to offer this policy to his clown club for $85.00 per person for one million dollars in coverage. This policy is still offered to performers today; however, the price is a little higher.

We currently insure clowns, jugglers, mentalists, balloon twisters, face painters, storytellers, magicians, street performers, hypnotist & fire dancers caricature artists, comedy acts, and aerials to name a few.

Al retired from Farmers Insurance Group in January 1999. In 1999, Al's daughter Stephanie Weiss partnered with Al to continue offering entertainer insurance and clown insurance to performers under Clowns of the U.S., Inc.

On April 25th, 2004 Al retired from Clowns of the U.S. Stephanie Weiss, Al's daughter, took over the business from Al and decided to moved closer to her home in New Richmond WI.

We would like to thank all the Clowns of the U.S. members & everyone else who took the time to stop by our booth at the IAFE convention. Some of us have spoken over the phone for many years. It was truly a pleasure to finally meet you!

Some of you may have met my husband Bill at the convention. Bill has been working behind the scenes for the last couple years but he plans on taking a more active role this year. Don't be surprised if you hear him on the phone.

Our son-in-law Noah is the web designer for Clowns of the U.S. and he also keeps the office computer running smooth.
